We have 3 posts available.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our specialist Vascular Surgery team here in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

You will be working as a Band 5 staff nurse providing essential nursing care to our patients with Vascular Surgical conditions. Our patients often have co-existing medical complaints which ensure this post is well suited to candidates who wish to experience both Surgical and Medical Nursing on one of our 28 bedded Ward areas. You will utilise a broad range of knowledge and skills in the assessment, planning and implementation of care for this patient group. Care planning includes pre- and post-operative care with early rehabilitation.  A fundamental part of the role is to communicate with the Multidisciplinary team to enhance the patient journey.  You will be responsible to the Charge Nurse and Senior Charge Nurse team and should be able to work on your own merit supported by the wider nursing team. While experience in Surgical/Vascular nursing is certainly beneficial, it is not essential as full training and development will be provided by our experienced Vascular Nurses, Vascular Specialist Nurses and Surgeons when joining our team.  This is a demanding and challenging role, working closely within a specialist team and comes with highly rewarding outcomes as you support our patients through their care journey.

You will be working a fully rotational shift pattern of 12-hour day and night shifts over 7 days, including Weekends and Bank Holidays.
