MARAC is a multi-agency risk assessment conference where partners from a number of agencies such as police, health and social care services and independent domestic abuse services, come together to discuss cases of high risk domestic abuse. Planning is underway to implement MARAC in Ayrshire from Spring 2022 and NHS Ayrshire and Arran will host the new team on behalf of partners.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MARAC Business Support worker. This role is central to the smooth running of MARAC’s and the successful applicant will provide and manage efficient delivery of high quality administrative/business support. This unique role will be varied and, among other duties, you will provide support to the MARAC chair and MARAC coordinators in arranging and supporting meetings. This may involve compiling agendas and co-ordinating the associated paperwork for distribution; attending, taking and transcribing formal minutes; producing follow up actions and distributing these appropriately to ensure an accurate record of the meeting is maintained and that information is communicated effectively.
You must be educated to HNC/SVQ4 in Business Administration or equivalent experience and have excellent communication skills.
You will use professional discretion to prioritise and determine the daily co-ordination of activities and receive support and direction from the MARAC coordinator.
You must be competent in the use of data management systems. As this post focuses on domestic abuse and awareness of this issue would be advantageous.
The main base for the MARAC Team will be within Eglinton House, Ailsa Campus and a blended approach to work utilising distributed working practices will be adopted.
