We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic charge nurse who would like to be part of a friendly integrated multi professional Learning Disability team within South Ayrshire. The nurse will provide a person centred service to adults with a Learning Disability in order to meet their health care needs.
You must be a registered learning disability nurse (RNLD) with appropriate knowledge of learning disability nursing, the health needs of people with a learning disability and good understanding of community working. You will be involved in a leadership and supervisory role within the integrated health and social care partnership.
You will carry an appropriate caseload providing detailed assessment, care planning, providing appropriate interventions and management of identified health conditions and be available to give advice and offer expert opinion to parents, family members, carers, care providers, local authorities and other health care professionals.
We require someone who can work as part of an integrated team with person centred approaches, excellent people skills, and is experienced in working positively with other agencies, care providers, and health workers. Clinical supervision will be provided by the Team Leader. You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within South Ayrshire to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
Hours: 37.5 per week
