Part Time and Full Time opportunities available

We are looking for a donor carer driver to join our existing team of staff who provide a high standard of care to our donors.  You should be friendly, enjoy meeting people and be willing to work as part of a team. In addition to providing a high standard of care to our donors you would be expected to transport staff and equipment to sessions. Although based in Edinburgh you must have a sound knowledge of the geography of the region as extensive travel throughout the region is required.

Applicants should note that Driving a HGV is a only part of the role, the majority of weekly hours are made up by performing donor carer venepuncturist duties (assisting donor’s and performing collection duties). 

You must be flexible, and willing to work variable hours. Hours will include occasional Sundays and regular late evenings.

A ‘C’ licence (for a goods vehicles in excess of 7.5 tonnes) with current and valid CPC is required. Applicants must also have recent experience of driving said class of vehicle.  Candidates who have a “D” license with relevant experience may also be considered for the role
