£45,446 - £51,883 Band 8A
Although offered on a Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) basis, applications are welcome from individuals who may wish to work part-time hours (minimum 18.75 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and positive individuals to be part of the delivery of an innovative programme to support the work of the NMAHP Directorate within Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a national programme to deliver the Health & Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019; ensuring that at all times, suitably qualified and competent individuals from such a range of professional disciplines as necessary, are working in such numbers as are appropriate for the health, wellbeing and safety of patients or service users, and the provision of high-quality health care for individuals across Scotland.
There are currently 2 vacant posts:
1. As an experienced Programme Advisor you will lead the development and maintenance of a suite of HSP workload tools for use across NHS Scotland. These tools are an essential element of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act.
2. As an experienced Programme Advisor you will support the development of capacity and capability within Healthcare Improvement Scotland to support the organisations Quality of Care Review Team and work closely with NES to support the development of the Education and Learning Framework.
You will be a registered Nurse, Midwife, AHP or Healthcare Professional with senior management and leadership experience in the NHS. Educated to Masters Level or equivalent experience, you will have expert knowledge of workload and workforce planning tools and methodology.
Regular travel throughout Scotland may also be required for this role (including overnight stays).
