NHS Tayside has been at the forefront of the development of the General Practice Pharmacy role
since 1997. The service has evolved over the years to become well established, person centred and one which maximises the skills of the professional pharmacy team members. The NHS Tayside Locality Pharmacy Service is progressing well towards meeting the aspirations of Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care and the pharmacotherapy services outlined in the 2018 General Medical Services contract.

The development of the team of locality pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in NHS Tayside recognises the valuable contribution that each profession brings to the delivery of high quality patient care.
We are a friendly and sociable, forward thinking team with excellent peer support networks across Tayside and Scotland, including prescribing support and medicines information networks and excellent links with pharmacists working within specialist clinical pharmacy areas. Team members are encouraged to develop their clinical skills.
We require a pharmacist for a period of 12 months in the first instance to work with the senior pharmacist and pharmacy technicians in two General Practices in Perth. The role may include working in care homes and patients homes. The emphasis is on high quality, patient facing, pharmaceutical care. There may be the opportunity to gain experience of delivering a clinical pharmacy service to other GP practices and community hospitals in Perth & Kinross.

Hours of work are:
37.5 hours over 7 days. Part time applicants will be considered. Fixed Term for 12 months.
