Service Development Lead (Diabetes Prevention)
Band 7 (1 wte) Fixed term 2 years
Working with a Greater Glasgow and Clyde remit you will be a highly motivated individual who will project manage the development of a programme of work to deliver the aims of the Scottish Government Diabetes Prevention Framework.
The post will take a lead for developing partnerships with primary care, HSCPs, maternity services and other partners both internal and external, to support a life course approach to the prevention of type 2 diabetes.
Hosted within the Public Health Directorate, the post will work closely with the Primary Care Support Directorate, Maternity Services, Community Dietetics, Health & Social Care Partnerships and a wide range of stakeholders to design, co-ordinate and support the delivery of a menu of interventions aimed at both, the prevention of type 2 diabetes and improved self-management to reduce health inequalities for patients already diagnosed with this condition across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
You will be educated to degree level, with evidence of ongoing CPD. You will have proven experience of operating at a senior level within an NHS environment; working across organisational and/or professional boundaries and ability to develop multiple programmes of work to achieve agreed outcomes within tight deadlines.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and negotiate across a wide range of staff are essential. Experience of project and resource management across a range of settings would be an advantage
