This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join our service as a team lead in our busy acute service. The post holder will be based at Western General Hospital and will lead and deliver a comprehensive, high quality, evidence based and effective acute dietetic service to WGH and St Johns Hospital. You will be operationally responsible for the staff on WGH and St John’s Hospital sites (15 wte) and deputise for the Acute Service Lead.

Applicants will have a BSc in Dietetics or equivalent, be registered with the HCPC and have post graduate training in Dietetics to masters level or equivalent and experience of managing a dietetic team is desirable. You would be expected to manage, supervise and support staff, support & participate in the co-ordination of our NHS Lothian wide student training programme and there is an expectation that you will provide a clinical service within WGH.

We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD, with annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop skills relevant to this post. All staff work within a supervision framework.
