To assist the Infrastructure Operations Manager (Security) in the planning and implementation of all aspects of eHealth security and business continuity related to NHSL computer systems and ensure their protection against Information security threats.
This includes installing security solutions and monitoring network activity within NHSL.
The services provided by the post holder have a direct and immediate impact on the continuity of patient care.
The post requires an individual who can demonstrate a high level of technical and communication skills.
The post holder must possess the following;
eHealth related qualification to HNC/ HND level
Successfully demonstrate previous related experience in an eHealth security capacity
In-depth technical knowledge of Windows based PC and Server Operating systems and backup technologies
Knowledge and understanding of firewalls, anti-virus software and backup solutions
Working knowledge of remote software diagnostic utilities to facilitate the resolution of end user eHealth security faults
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols
Good working knowledge of Data Protection and other IT security legislation related to NHS Scotland
Strong understanding of NHSL eHealth security goals and objective'
Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong documentation skills
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users
Experience working in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
UK valid Driving License holder essential.
