We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience of leading improvement, to work within NHS Orkney as Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement Manager. 

The principle objective of the post holder is to support, enable and promote systemic improvements in Clinical Governance and Healthcare Quality throughout NHS Orkney as part of delivering the functions of the QI Hub.

The post holder will be a specialist in quality improvement and will have a key leadership role to manage and coordinate a portfolio of improvement initiatives that reflect local, organisational and national priorities for safe, effective and person-centred care.

The post holder will work with the Clinical Directors and staff across clinical services to make a substantial contribution to ensuring that clinical care and services are high quality, safe, effective and person-centred. To achieve this, the post holder will manage and coordinate the implementation of key policies, guidelines and strategies and promote the integration of evidence-based practise into care delivery and interactions with people who use our health and care services.

Applicants will be registered health care professionals who can demonstrate an interest and experience in quality improvement and patient safety. The ability to communicate effectively to gain positive engagement with stakeholders and the use of data for improvement will be central to this role.
