This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

To have the lead strategic responsibility for the management, development and delivery of the Spiritual Care and Bereavement Service for NHS Lothian, in accordance with Scottish Government Policy. To review and develop the NHS Lothian Spiritual Care and Bereavement Policies in line with the integration of Health and Social Care agenda.

To have strategic responsibility for the Spiritual Care Service acting as NHS Lothian’s expert practitioner on matters of specialist spiritual and religious knowledge and to liaise with local communities, ecumenical, religious, no faith and interfaith organisations.​​​​​​​

To have strategic responsibility for the management, development, and delivery of the Bereavement Service for NHS Lothian, in accordance with Scottish Government Policy.
