Band 7 Advanced Occupational Therapy Practitioner, Primary care- 37.5 hours permanent –
Exciting opportunities have become available for Occupational Therapists with substantial clinical and leadership skills to join the Occupational Therapy Service across Ayrshire & Arran. These roles will work as part of a primary care team developing Occupational Therapy services working in GP practices across Ayrshire and Arran.
You will lead on the establishment and delivery of Occupational Therapy services within GP practices across Ayrshire and Arran.
Working as an autonomous practitioners the successful candidates will provide person-centred, specialised assessment and care that addresses the complex functional, cognitive and psychosocial needs of people presenting at a GP practice.
You should be able to demonstrate competencies for care and rehabilitation of people with a range of needs and the ability to adapt to changing levels of activity and acuity. Substantial clinical skills and knowledge across a range of inpatient and community settings is essential. You will require to have excellent communication skills along with a proactive and dynamic attitude. Knowledge of NHS and Social care pathways is required.
You will be confident in manage a highly complex caseload, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
This is a new and developing role therefore robust service improvement and evaluation skills are essential.
You require to be educated to Degree level with DIP/BSc, with relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience and possess Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
A car driver is essential for this post.
Support and supervision is available from Occupational Service Manager and Service Lead Occupational Therapist as part of the Occupational Therapy Service supervision and Personal Development structure
