Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Orthodontist based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy with responsibilities at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. The post-holder will be responsible for delivery of hospital based orthodontic services to the residents of Fife. The department manages a wide range of malocclusions. There is an increasing bias towards those requiring multi-disciplinary care as there are now specialist practices in Kirkcaldy, St. Andrews, Glenrothes and Dunfermline. Weekly joint orthognathic clinics are held with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery colleagues. Joint clinics with paediatric dentistry and the cleft team are also held on a regular basis. An increasingly important role is the management of patients with hypodontia who require multidisciplinary treatment with paediatric dental and restorative colleagues. You should have full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council and be eligible for inclusion in the GDC Specialist List for Orthodontics or be within 6 months of expected CCT at the date of interview for the post.
