This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HCPC registered Healthcare Scientist to provide Leadership and Management for the Medical Laboratory Services of NHS Fife
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to provide leadership to the Laboratory teams and to be responsible for the strategic and operational management of Blood Sciences, Microbiology and Cellular Pathology (including Mortuary Services).
Our laboratories are fully accredited to ISO 15189 and provide a wide range of diagnostic services for the population of Fife from the Victoria Hospital site in Kirkcaldy.
You will form part of the senior leadership team for the Women, Children and Clinical Services Directorate and will contribute to the strategic direction of services in NHS Fife.
Applications are invited from HCPC registered individuals with advanced professional knowledge and expertise in at least one laboratory discipline. You will be suitably qualified to MSc level with extensive experience of leadership and management at senior level within a diagnostic laboratory.
You will demonstrate team spirit and flexibility with experience of managing change within a complex service and a sound knowledge of finance and business planning alongside a proven track record of service development.
You will have excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills and will be committed to the development of services and staff to meet the current and future health needs of the people of Fife.
You will have knowledge of the national and local drivers shaping health and social care and proven skills in supporting service redesign and transformation in line with national and local priorities.
