Two exciting opportunities have become available in Ward 53 for keen and dedicated Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers.
We currently have 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time (23 hours/week) positions available.
Ward 53 is looking to recruit a HCSW with a compassionate, caring nature who will focus on the delivery of high quality care in a very busy, acute Ward environment.
We care for patients with a variety of medical conditions with a focus on respiratory and viral illnesses including COVID-19.
You will also be:
• Dedicated and motivated in providing exceptional patient focused care
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Work well within a multi disciplinary team and individually
• Support the staff nurses and ward team
• You will be fully supported in the induction of your role, allowing you to attend relevant training, you must also be committed to your own professional development
• Be competent in practicing a variety of clinical skills (can be discussed at interview)
• Have, or working towards SVQ level 3
• Assist in the safe transfer and discharge of patients in ward 53, requiring appropriate communication with the relevant MDT and professionals out with the hospital setting.
• Have a knowledge of tissue viability with up to date training in this speciality
The post requires the holder to work an 11.5 hour shift including both Dayshift and Nightshift working patterns. We pride ourselves on being a Family Friendly Ward with regards to shift patterns so please get in touch if you have any queries or questions regarding what the shift pattern would be.
