This is a fantastic opportunity! Portlethen Group Practice is looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated salaried GP for 4 sessions! Start date is February/ March2022.

Your working week
• Learning and development is important to us and we have a weekly Practice meeting where we discuss significant events, new ideas for improvement, interesting or challenging clinical cases and invite clinical guests.
• GP on call is split into half days from 08:00-13:00 with a duty team of 2 GPs and a nurse triaging calls. From 13:00-18:00 the duty team consists of 2 GPs. You can expect to do at least one on call session a week.
• We have a virtual community ward meeting every weekday from 12:45-13:00 where our GPs, care management team and district nurses attend. We discuss palliative patients or challenging medical/ social cases which can be admitted to our virtual ward.
• A standard surgery consists of 18 patients in the morning and 13 patients in the afternoon (15 minute appointments).The morning surgery starts at 8:30 until 12:00 with a coffee break at 1030-11:00.
• The acute visits are only done by the on call GP. Other doctors would be in surgery unless they have arranged chronic visits using the last two appointments of the morning surgery.
• We are a great team and our daily goal is to ensure our patients receive the best care from our multidisciplinary team!
List size of 15,300 patients; Full electronic Vision computer system; Low home visiting rates due to patient demographic. Long established GP and nurse triage systems. High staff retention. We are operating from recently extended purpose-built modern premises owned by the practice. Successfully recruited two new GPs recently
