This post will be part of the Children, Young People and Families Team within the Joint Health Improvement Team, contributing to NHS Borders Child Healthy Weight Service: Fit4Fun Families. The role will support the ongoing development and delivery of the NHS Borders Child Healthy Weight Service: Fit4Fun Families (Tier 2).
The post holder will develop, facilitate and evaluate a range of practical nutritional and physical activity based initiatives to promote the importance of healthy eating & physical activity in children and young people and their families.
The role involves delivering an evidence based programme for NHS Borders Child Healthy Weight Service Fit4Fun Families; this encompasses behavioural change techniques, practical nutritional and physical activity sessions, to support children and young people and families to adopt healthy life choices
We are looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic individual with experience of food and health initiatives and experience of working with children and families.
The post base will be SBC HQ, Newtown St Boswells with hot-desking and work from locality bases routinely. Currently working from home as per Scottish Government COVID-19 guidelines.
