Band 6 Rotational Positions

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our teams in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Hospitals.  We are recruiting within the South West Sector (Diagnostics Directorate) seeking rotational band 6 Radiographers.

Band 6 Radiographers (Rotational) 

Within the South West Sector there is cross site radiographer rotation based on a ‘hub and spoke’ model enabling staff to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and skills across scheduled and unscheduled care. Rotation includes a range of modalities such as  Plain Film, CT, MRI, and  Interventional, at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (Hub) and at spoke sites including, Institute of Neurological Sciences (INS), Gartnavel General Hospital (inc. West of Scotland Beatson Oncology Centre), New Victoria Hospital, West Glasgow ACH

You will be offered one of the above spokes to form basis of rotation with QEUH.

The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is a Major Trauma Centre   with a busy ED Department.  Specialities within the SW Sector include Orthopaedics, Urology, Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Infectious Diseases and Oncology. 

The INS is the West of Scotland tertiary centre for Neurological Sciences where you will have the opportunity to be part of a newly developed motivated team implementing innovative interventional and cross sectional imaging pathways for stroke thrombectomy.

NHSGGC are committed to radiography role development with one Consultant Reporting Radiographer, a Consultant Sonographer and a team of reporting radiographers and sonographers developing their roles in a variety of areas within Imaging such as Breast Biopsy, Ultrasound guided FNA and Arthrography. There is also the opportunity to specialise in specific imaging modalities.

It is essential you have a Degree in Radiography / DCR, with current HCPC registration and post graduate experience. The hours of these posts are worked 5/7, 365 days per year including public holiday, extended day working and on call from home. Successful candidates will benefit from a structured training and induction programme.  Part time or Job Share application will be considered.
