Post – Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist

Location – Fairfield House, Dalkeith, Midlothian

Grade – AfC Band 8a / Midlothian Council Grade 11

Contract – Permanent

Salary - £50,965 - £55,016

Hours of work – 37.5 hours (NHS) / 36 hours (Midlothian Council)

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, dynamic, and experienced Occupational Therapy Leader to provide some operational management and professional governance for Occupational Therapists in Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership. The post holder will operationally lead the Midlothian Physical Disability, Long Term Conditions and Sensory Impairment Teams, contribute to the strategic leadership of services which includes Council and NHS Occupational Therapists and have professional responsibility for Occupational Therapy clinical practice with a particular emphasis on modernisation of service delivery. 

We are looking for an individual who has considerable clinical experience in the one or more areas of practice, experience of managing and leading teams, and developing services. The post requires a forward-thinking and innovative individual with a flexible approach to maximise opportunities to develop services involving Occupational Therapists within Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership.

It is essential you have an appropriate qualification in Occupational Therapy with relevant post graduate qualifications/MSc and current HCPC registration. You should also have excellent communication skills and evidence of interpreting national and organisational policies and applying these to set local standards, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practice within a challenging and evolving health and social care system.
