An exciting opportunity to join the Physiotherapy MSK team in the East Kilbride & Camglen Locality as a Band 7 Advance Practice Physiotherapist.
This is a Permanent -part time - 30hr post - Band 7.
As part of this role you may be required to work 5 days over 7.
A full Valid UK Driving Licence holder would be desirable for this position .
The post holder will be an autonomous expert clinician working in a clinical specialist, whilst managing a clinical caseload of highly complex patients through expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning and discharge.
The post holder will be responsible for introducing new approaches to physiotherapy access and process increasing the focus on health promotion and self management.
The post holder will provide expert support and education for physiotherapists, health professionals, relatives and carers within and out with the service.
The post holder will liaise with and refer to other social and health services to provide comprehensive patient management and optimise outcomes.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence based practice and quality assurance in service area in conjunction with the care group lead.
The post holder will implement research, audit and to develop a service that responds to national initiatives policies and clinical governance.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB
Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
Postgraduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement.
Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership.
Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative
Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
Working knowledge of basic information technology
