CONSULTANT POST IN CLINICAL ONCOLOGY
(10 Programmed Activities)
Consultant in Clinical Oncology Colorectal and Oligometastatic SABR
Applications are invited for a consultant post in Clinical Oncology, to join our small and friendly team. We are looking for a Consultant to develop our radiotherapy service for SABR for Oligometastatic disease in bone, liver and nodal regions. The successful candidate would join an established and supportive colorectal team. We would encourage involvement in the undergraduate teaching programme and this would be re-numerated with a designated University session, working with a colleague already experienced in the role.
We are an expanding group of Oncologists, in a beautiful part of Scotland with many cultural and leisure activities, and an excellent quality of life. Dundee has superb road and rail links with Edinburgh and Glasgow, and Dundee Airport provides access to London. Angus is a less well known part of Tayside with miles of unspoiled coastline and the spectacular Angus Glens.
This is a full time (10 PA) post, but if you wish to work part time this will be considered.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of our SABR service, and to join an experienced team of Clinical Oncology Consultants, supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists and Pharmacists and a well established MDT.
We currently house three Varian linear accelerators, one Canon Aquillion Wide Bore CT scanner, full mould room facilities, PDR brachytherapy facilities, and Raystation Version 9B treatment planning system.
Furthermore, the University of Dundee Medical School is integrated into the Ninewells Hospitals campus and has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and high impact clinical research. We were ranked 1st in the UK for medicine in the Complete University Guide 2021 and the Guardian University Guide 2021.
