LEAD ADVANCED NURSE PRACTITIONER
(BAND 8A)
SALARY: £50,965 - £55,016

An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner within Caithness General Hospital, Wick, Caithness, Scotland. The hospital is situated on the scenic North Coast 500. Caithness offers an enviable lifestyle and environment for outdoor pursuits, amazing wildlife, and a friendly, supportive community with rail connections to Inverness, Edinburgh, and Glasgow.
The hospital has 17 acute admission beds, a three bedded high dependency unit with facility for short-term ventilation and a 21 bedded post-acute/rehabilitation ward. Caithness General has an excellent on-site laboratory service providing biochemistry, haematology, and cross match services 24/7 in addition to on site radiology with ultrasound scanning and CT facility and Pharmacy.
We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a passion for clinical care, a strong team-work ethic and the aspiration to develop and Lead the Advanced Nurse Practitioner Team within Caithness General Hospital. This post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work across professional boundaries and a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.
The successful applicant will be working as an integral part of the Senior Management Team and take part in the on-call rota. This is a great opportunity to influence and develop services through the redesign of Caithness General Hospital and to develop a sustainable model for the future.
Relocation package available to the successful candidate.
This is a permanent 37.5 hours per week post, worked in accordance with service requirements.
