An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Grampian’s Sustainability, Compliance & Risk team for an Environment Manager. We are looking for a knowledgeable, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to establish, maintain and develop environmental policies, procedures and systems throughout NHS Grampian (NHSG).
The role will provide the successful applicant with an interesting, varied and rewarding challenge, as they will highlight the health board’s compliance with environmental legislation through developing and maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS). They will also be involved in working with colleagues, partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure that the Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) and Adaptation plans are completed and integrated into projects, aligning with the board’s sustainability agenda.
Provide reports to the Board on aspects of environmental legislation compliance and adaptation as we transition to net zero.
Candidates should be educated to relevant degree (or equivalent experience). The candidate should also have excellent communication skills, experience of working as part of a team, and have a driving licence.
This post is a Band 6 position and is permanent, full time, and offers excellent terms and conditions.
