NHS Ayrshire and Arran have an exciting opportunity for you to train to be a pharmacy technician across our hospitals and primary care settings.  This is a rotational 2 year fixed term post which offers experience in all aspects of pharmacy.  

You will be involved with the supply and management of medication, medication reviews, dispensing services, distribution, ward services, Aseptic preparations.

You will be supported in attaining your SVQ in Pharmacy Service at level 8 and a PDA in Pharmacy Services at level 7.  You will also complete a comprehensive in-house training package all of which are required in order to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council. 

Previous pharmacy experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

Applicants should possess the following:
•    Four National 5 Grades at level A or B or equivalent including English, Mathematics,  Biology and   Chemistry 
•    Numeracy skills. 
•    Communication skills (oral and written). 
•    Good IT skills
•    Good customer care skills

In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you will be required to work over 7 days and or an extended working day. Driving license is essential. Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
