We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Staff Nurses (Treatment Room) to provide skilled nursing interventions to patients within the new Community Treatment and Care Services across East Renfrewshire, which are being developed through the local Primary Care Improvement Plan (PCIP) as part of the new GMS Contract, 2018.

The Treatment Room service will deliver care in a clinic setting to patients who are referred by GP’s and wider members of the Primary Care team.  The service provides skilled interventions that encompass a broad range of technical expertise, health education and health promotion in order to promote and maintain independent living for patients and support for carers.

The role of the Community Staff Nurse (Treatment Room) will be to support the Treatment Room Coordinator to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community, by working in partnership with GP’s and the wider Primary Care teams.

The post holder will be a first level nurse who will be clinically responsible for patients attending the treatment room and will work mainly independently and autonomously and have the knowledge and experience delivering skilled nursing interventions to patients attending the treatment room, including responsibility for the junior members of the team.

It is essential that the ideal candidate will be a 1st level registered nurse –adult, have a minimum 2 years post registration experience and able to provide evidence of Continuing Professional Development. A prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential.

Full driving licence car driver owner is essential to this post.
