This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

This permanent rotational vacancy is currently within the NHS Lothian Weight Management and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Service. This post complements the current Child Healthy Weight team, part of the large multidisciplinary Weight Management Service, linking with relevant local council authorities and agencies.  The post holder will have responsibility for provision of weight management support to children and young people, working within the NHSL Weight Management Service. It is an exciting opportunity, for a dietitian who has a keen interest in paediatric weight management and diabetes prevention to become a valued member of the wider multidisciplinary team.

We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD and clinical governance, with a supervision framework, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.

We would welcome applications from either newly qualified dietitians (must be HCPC Registered) who are keen to get their career started, or from dietitians  who already have some professional experience  but would like to further progress their career as part of our skilled and dedicated team.
