Do you have an interest in Diabetes? Could you work as part of a multi-disciplinary team committed to improving the health of people with diabetes across Tayside?


We are seeking a dietitian to work as part of the Tayside Dietetic Diabetes Team to provide a clinical service in secondary care for both children and adults living with diabetes across Tayside. This is a fixed term post to cover maternity leave within the paediatric diabetes service however if the successful applicant wishes to work more than 22.5 hours there is the opportunity to contribute to service delivery in the adult diabetes dietetic team. Paediatric experience and experience of diabetes in a previous role is desirable but not essential. The post holder will be expected to work closely with multi-disciplinary teams taking a pro-active approach in the clinical care of patients and be involved in developing and implementing standards of best practice. He/she will provide services across Tayside.


Excellent working relationships exist with dietetic colleagues throughout NHS Tayside via the Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service and the Tayside Nutrition Network to develop and implement evidence-based practice, receive peer support and help to progress Continuous Professional Development. There is also a commitment to training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.


Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required.
