An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Addiction Nurse Blood Borne Virus (BBV) within the North East Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service.
Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. You would be working as part of a large team dealing with complex clients with drug and alcohol problems and associated physical and mental health problems. You will assume a supervisory role with junior members of staff. You will be expected to work closely with children and families and criminal justice services among others. You should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills.
This is a unique role which involves dynamic working between the post holder, ADRS staff, BBV treatment staff and service users. This is pivotal in raising the profile of BBVs, supporting ADRS staff to enable service users to access testing and appropriate treatment, and work closely with BBV specialist teams to develop and strengthen intervention pathways.
A First Level Registered Mental Health Nurse or a First Level Registered Adult Nurse with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience working within an addiction setting at Band 5 is required. Applicants should have a keen interest and previous experience of working with BBV.
The shift pattern for this post is Mon- Fri 9am till 5pm
