East Renfrewshire Learning Disability Team are seeking to recruit a committed, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our experienced team of health and social work professionals. The key functions of the role are:
To provide specialised clinical expertise, knowledge and skills in the promotion and maintenance of optimum health for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
To operate as a practitioner within a learning disability team providing person centred health needs.
To improve knowledge and awareness of issues impacting on adults with learning disabilities, and appropriate action to support the people we work with.
The delivery of specialist clinical intervention and treatment to meet assessed health care needs. Further develop liaison between community and specialist organisations (including acute, local authorities and voluntary organisations). To work in collaboration with the Clinical Team Leader and the Professional Nurse advisor to assist with strategic aims, research and development of the community learning disability service and nurse education within the speciality.
Be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance systems within a Clinical Governance framework.
The shift pattern is; Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
