This is a Community post, Mon-Fri part-time-30 hours, based within the Learning Disability Physiotherapy Department at Kirklands.
The post holder will, under the supervision, guidance and support of a Physiotherapist, assist with the delivery and implementation of Physiotherapy therapy treatment programmes. They will supervise and instruct patients in designated clinical interventions, assess patients’ responses to activities, feedback on functional capacity and decide on appropriate actions within treatment interventions. they will provide practical support to staff and students and undertake designated administration duties. It is an active post, and examples of interventions may include; delivery of exercise classes, use of postural care equipment, rebound therapy and hydrotherapy sessions.
The post holder will have an SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role. The ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team. have effective written and verbal communication skills. the ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment. Be able to work unsupervised., and actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development. and have a working knowledge of basic information technology. A full valid UK driving license holder would be essential for this position to meet the needs of the service
