An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to lead the resilience agenda across NHS Grampian.
The NHS has faced unprecedented challenges over the past 24 months and we are seeking a a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to drive our resilience agenda as part of restoring and rebuilding the health system across Grampian.
The post holder will be confident, decisive and seek to deliver excellence in their role. As Head of Resilience the post holder will be responsible for ensuring NHS Grampian maintains its compliance with the relevant legislation and national standards for emergency preparedness and business continuity and for providing specialist advice and guidance in ensuring our preparedness for, response to and recovery from incidents.
The successful applicant will have extensive practical experience of integrated emergency management, business continuity and previous leadership roles at a senior level. The demonstrable ability to influence, manage change and deliver coaching, mentoring and training at a strategic level together with membership of a relevant professional institution will be considered an advantage.
Educated to Master’s degree level, the post holder will provide line management for the civil contingencies unit and routinely liaise with senior managers within the organisation and our partners, ensuring a cohesive approach.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the NHS and the context of resilience within a health and social care environment.
