Plumber - Maintenance Craft worker  

BAND 4  £23,709 - £25,982 per annum

 PLUS RECRUITMENT & RETENTION PREMIUM £3,754 per annum

Distant Islands Allowance £1,117 per annum

PERMANENT POST

37.5 hours/week

in addition to above, on call allowance, weekend shifts & overtime are available

27 days annual leave rising to 33 and 8 public holidays



The Maintenance Craftworker (plumber) will be part of a multi-skilled team within the Estates Department.  The role involves  maintenance and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment (Low Pressure Hot and Cold Water Systems, Steam Raising Plant and associated equipment. The role involves the participation in an out of hours emergency service covering Lewis & Harris through an on-call rota system 1 week in 7.


The successful candidate will need to achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers and comply with the Code of Conduct within three months of full time employment or up to six months for part time workers. For further information see www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk.
