Job Advert
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to work as the East of Scotland Major Trauma Network Manager. The model for the delivery of major trauma care within the East of Scotland (EoS) is based on an inclusive managed care network approach which is collectively responsible for all aspects of trauma care from the point of injury to rehabilitation and ongoing care across the East of Scotland.
The network focuses on the whole patient pathway and encompasses professionals from all agencies who have a role in delivering and planning major trauma services across the pathway. The key aim is that all services and professionals across the EoS network collaborate together to meet the individual’s needs regardless of the geographical location of where the injury occurs.
NHS Tayside is looking for someone to lead and manage the EoS Major Trauma Network, providing operational and strategic managerial leadership to all members of the EoS Major Trauma Network Delivery Group.
The postholder will work closely with the Major Trauma Service Clinical Lead and will ensure the delivery of effective and high quality clinical services and the achievement of strategic objectives, relevant performance targets and ensure the service is aligned with both NHS Tayside strategic intentions and Scottish Trauma Network plans.
The post holder will be expected to work largely unsupervised and the majority of the work is self generated. This post is challenging, working with competing priorities, therefore the postholder will require the ability to prioritise their workload and work under pressure. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high level of initiative, adaptability, planning ability, sound judgement and competent analysis skills.
