This newly developed post sits within the Community Paediatrician Service.  You will support the management and organise a defined clinical caseload of children with a wide range of psychological, emotional and behavioural difficulties within community out-patient settings.

You will promote and contribute to an effective multi-disciplinary/agency service, in a way that is flexible and responsive to changing needs and demands, working closely with all relevant services and promoting and developing the role of the Community Paediatrician Service

You will contribute to the review, assessment and evidence-based intervention with this population, their families and carers along with an in-depth experience and understanding of the skills and knowledge required in a community setting to support children and young people who have paediatric medical issues. There were will be the requirement to complete Non-Medical prescribing as part of this role as part of the ongoing development of the service.

You require a first level registration in Childrens Nursing and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification at Masters Level. You will also have a Supplementary Prescribing Certificate recorded by the NMC. Evidence of significant professional development, knowledge, skills and experience within Child Health/Development is essential.
