University Hospital Ayr are seeking a dynamic new band 5 teammate to join our 3 post rotation within the South Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership. This is on a permanent basis to assist in delivering acute care and to support Caring for Ayrshire & the Partnership Strategic Plan.

The post is part of 3 rotations, 1 based in Community the remaining 2 within University Hospital Ayr.

The remit also includes the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in specialist nutritional support, stroke rehabilitation & bariatric surgery once your general skills are enhanced.

The community rotation provides the opportunity to support an assigned caseload to Community Hospitals, GP Practice clinics, Care homes and to people in their own homes.

The hospital rotations provide the opportunity to gain experience in general medicine; general surgery & orthopaedics; gastroenterology; urology & oncology in addition to the general dietetic out-patient clinic.

You will also support Practice Placements shaping the future Dietetic Workforce.

You will be an HCPC registered Dietitian who is a good team-worker, keen to learn, enjoy working as part of a multi-agency team and can contribute to the development of health/social care provision including acute care for the people of South Ayrshire.

Due to the nature of this role, a car driver is essential.


Consideration will be taken for pre-graduates who have passed final exams to work as Assistant Practitioners at band 4 until they are HCPC registered , at which point, will progress to a Band 5.
