An exciting opportunity has become available within the NHS Fife Digital and Information Department.
Working as part of the Application Support Team within Digital and Information, you will be an integral part of the team. Through this role you will work with various teams and specialties within NHS Fife, as well as with other teams within Digital and Information.
As well as holding a degree in an Information Technology discipline or having equivalent/relevant experience, you will also possess an excellent work ethic, communication and organisational skills. You must also possess the knowledge, skills and competencies typically gathered performing a similar role.
You will have experience of developing and maintaining interfaces between systems, ideally using tools such as Ensemble or Mirth. Knowledge of the HL7 messaging schema and maintaining SQL Server / .Net applications is desirable. Dealing with service providers and users, as well as an understanding of the importance of ensuring that mission critical applications remain available to all users.
All of these skills within the team are why Application Support is a key function within the digital landscape within NHS Fife, focused on ensuring that our clinical and non-clinical users have access to the technology needed, when and where they need it, to enable them to deliver efficient and effective patient care.
