Shetland is looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist, capable of leading an effective team of pharmacists, technicians, and support workers to deliver Pharmaceutical Care across Community Health and Social Care in Shetland.
We want to welcome a Pharmacist leader who has, or is looking to develop themselves to have, the knowledge, skills and behaviours to join and lead an enthusiastic team of pharmacy professionals delivering and supporting significant changes in the delivery of Primary Care. Pharmacy has an exciting and expanding role in the management of medicines and the delivery of clinical services. This role will involve meaningful professional growth of service, yourself and others; developing your own clinical role in a Primary Care setting, developing yourself as a leader of both your team and the organisation, and supporting other pharmacy colleagues with their development journeys.
The NHS Shetland Pharmacy team is highly integrated with Pharmacy teams across Hospital and Primary Care working effectively together to deliver valuable, networked pharmaceutical care – interacting with each other and other departments to support seamless transitions of care and best outcomes for patients.
Shetland is an exciting place to work for any Pharmacy professional. The team has won awards, gained national recognition, with each team member developing their role and contribution significantly.
NHS Shetland is a future orientated organisation, working well across teams to develop clinical services fit for a modern NHS, embracing technology, new ways of working and the development of the clinical multidisciplinary team – of which Pharmacy is a key constituent. Pharmacists are integral elements of clinical service delivery; with specialisms including Diabetes, Dermatology, Mental Health, Respiratory, and Long-Term Condition Care.
You’ll enjoy the opportunity to work closely with other senior pharmacy colleagues across all sectors of care locally, regionally, and nationally; to realise the benefits pharmacy services can deliver in a remote and rural setting. This role will be a crucial opportunity to represent and develop the value the Pharmacy profession can add in Shetland and beyond; benefitting from membership of key strategic groups across NHS Scotland, across the Shetland Community Health and Social Care Partnership and NHS Shetland.
Prospective candidates will join a regional team of Pharmacists supporting the education and development of others and will be fully supported in their learning and development by colleagues locally and across the region.
Rise to the challenge and enjoy the opportunity - Shetland is a wonderful place to live and work. To find out more about living and working in Shetland go to www.shetland.org and read our information pack here: https://spark.adobe.com/page/lhvJwlTRLp7Lx/.
