Modern Apprentice Clerical Officer
Secondment/ fixed term for 1 year due to service delivery
Band 2 (Annex 21) £18,525 per annum in line with Scottish Living Wage
*Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager. The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.
An opportunity has arisen for a Modern Apprentice Clerical Officer working within the Occupational Health Service based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital. This opportunity will allow a successful applicant to gain skills and experience to provide efficient, effective and quality administration support and also to work towards a recognised vocational qualification at the same time.
We are looking for someone with good communication, administrative and Microsoft Office skills to work in a very busy office environment. Main duties include answering email, telephone and face to face enquiries ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. The post involves accurate input and retrieval of data using Occupational Health system eOPAS, excel spreadsheets and other NHS Forth Valley systems. Filing and retrieval of paper and electronic records along with use of other office equipment as required e.g. photocopier, scanner also forms part of the role.
Applicants should hold a National 4 or equivalent in English and 2 other National 4 or equivalent qualifications.
The Modern Apprenticeship posts are only open to applicants aged between 16 and 24 years. This is because the funding attached to Apprenticeship Frameworks is limited to this age group and therefore we are unable to accept applications which do not meet this age criteria.
