We have an exciting opportunity within NHS Fife and are looking to appoint an additional committed nurse into our Chest Pain Nurse team.
You will work autonomously and utilise skills of clinical expertise, including patient assessment, initiation and interpretation of appropriate investigations to develop patient-centred management plans to provide a seamless service for patients with suspected cardiac chest pain, both in-patients and Rapid Access Chest Pain clinic, across NHS Fife. The post holder will engage in discussions and decision-making within the multidisciplinary team and provide expert advice.
Additionally they should possess excellent communication skills and be an active participant in patient and staff education, research and audit where appropriate.

Candidates should have an extensive experience of working within the field of cardiology nursing ideally at a band 6 level or above. Completion of Clinical Assessment Skills, Non Medical Prescribing, Research in Practice is essential for the role. Prior completion of this would be advantageous, however there is also an opportunity to undertake these modules within an agreed timeframe within the Annexe 21 framework.

Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate which is dependent on the duration of the training period (see Terms and Conditions).
