The largest Internal Audit Consortium in NHS Scotland is recruiting to this permanent post working across Forth Valley and Tayside. This is an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified Internal Auditor, working within a stimulating, dynamic and forward-looking NHS internal audit environment. FTF Internal Audit is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic professional to join our friendly team. You will be expected to carry out assignments and work with clients in NHS Forth Valley and NHS Tayside, although most of your time will be at your designated base, which will be either Falkirk or Dundee, at your discretion.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to consolidate their skill set within a team that places good governance at the centre of our activity, and provides an opportunity to develop leadership and supervisory skills, working up to executive level within both organisations.
You will contribute at every stage, gaining understanding of the business objectives and risks of each client, managing the delivery of pre-audit scoping and preparation of audit briefs, developing of audit programmes, preparing / reviewing draft audit reports and all related work as well as supervising staff on specific assignments. You will also be responsive to client needs, helping them to deliver enhanced governance and adding value to the organisation.
To succeed, you’ll need to be CCAB / CMIIA level or equivalent e.g. Risk Management qualification, with a demonstrable track record of achievement which will include relevant audit experience. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be conversant with computerised financial and information systems. Knowledge of NHS policies, practices and procedures would be advantageous.
Tayside occupies an enviable location on the east coast of Scotland with rivers, hills, mountains and rolling countryside right on the doorstep, as well as vibrant urban areas. The V&A Museum of Design in Dundee is an international centre of design and the centrepiece of Dundee’s innovative new waterfront development. This, along with Tayside’s great links to all other major cities in Scotland, means the area can offer employees plenty of choice when it comes to both accommodation and opportunities of things to do.
Forth Valley offers an unrivalled quality of life being an area of outstanding natural beauty which includes Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Historic Stirling 'the gateway to the Highlands', the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel.
