To provide a comprehensive mental health, bio-psychosocial risk assessment with potential for some short term follow up for children and young people under 18years who present in an emergency situation with mental health difficulties and/or self-harm.

To liaise with professionals working in Tier 1-4, CAMHS and with paediatric colleagues in Children’s services and with colleagues in Adult Mental Health Services.

To offer a seamless mental health assessment service to under 18s presenting to RHCYP, REH and the emergency departments at RIE and SJH.
