You will be responsible for ensuring that the joint working agenda is achieved at across all areas of responsibly and will assist the Head of Adult Services within in the delivery of the service objectives including strategic policy implementation.
Effectively and efficiently managing the delivery of specialist Mental Health Services and you will be directly accountable for staff that provide direct patient care.
You will also contribute to the overall agenda for Mental Health Services within and functions as a core member of the Adult Services Management Team ensuring the delivery of key priorities and objectives contained within the HSCP development and performance plan.
You will also be responsible for effective and efficient management of delegated resources including people, buildings and responsibility for devolved budgets.
The hours of this post are predominately 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday but may need to work outside these hours to meet the needs of the service.
It is essential have a
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification in a suitable discipline for area of central responsibility to degree level
Management qualification or equivalent experience
Evidence of continual professional development.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of health and social work systems, structures, policies and legislation
The ability to continuously update this knowledge to operational practice level
A broad based clinical and social policy awareness in mental health
Working knowledge of relevant legislation
Working knowledge of financial systems, budgets, including the delegated authority to act.
Experience:
Significant post qualifying experience
Relevant management experience
Ability to lead teams at times of change in both service delivery and design.
