The Clinical Nurse Manager has operational responsibility for providing clinical, managerial and professional leadership in the running of the service and accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to patient and ensuring safe effective person centred care.
To lead the development of new service models to meet key National and HCSP strategic objectives ensuring compliance with staff, clinical and financial governance.
To work in collaboration with key stakeholders within NHSL Older Adult Mental Health Services, Health and Social Care (H&SC), Voluntary and Third Sector providers to ensure efficient, safe and effective services are provided to meet the needs of the population of East Lothian.
Lead in the appraisal and setting of personal development plans for team managers and their senior nursing staff including ensuring access to CPD and individual performance management and implementation of revalidation processes.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
