This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

The post holder will work under the supervision of the Advanced Nurse Practitioners, assisting the Junior Medical Staff with phlebotomy and assisting with aseptic procedures and ECG’s and Cannulation.

As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will carry out personal care duties for patients in support of the registered nurse and other relevant professional practitioners where appropriate. In partnership with the registered nurse assess and review the plan of care using the Activities of Daily Living model for patient care.  Implement the plan of care agreed with the registered nurse

Undertake associated clerical and patients centred duties as delegated by the registered nurse.
