Our Nursing and Midwifery workforce is the largest in Scotland.

Around 18,300 registered and non- registered Nurses and Midwives deliver patient care to a population of 1.2 million people resident in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. We also provide specialist services on behalf of the West of Scotland for the population of 2.7 million people and provide a number of national services which are accessed from across Scotland.

We deliver the full range of primary, secondary and tertiary clinical services to a population covering 6 local authority areas across the City of Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.

  • 61 Health Centres and Clinics
  • 5 Mental Health Long stay rehabilitation sites

Each year we deliver around:

  • Emergency Attendances:     510,000
  • Scheduled inpatient day cases: 215,000
  • Outpatients appointments: 1,185,000
  • GP Attendances: 7.5 million
  • Babies Delivered :  13,600

To Apply you will required to meet the essential criteria:

  • You should hold current registration with the NMC and be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
  • Experience of prioritising and working in a dynamic and fast paced clinical working environment
