Data Entry Assistant
Band 2
37.5 Hour Post
The Child Health Information Systems are part of Community Child Health and are based at St John’s Hospital, Livingston. We support community staff, including School Nurses and Health Visitors in West Lothian and we are looking for reliable, flexible and enthusiastic team players to work in this busy department.
You will be responsible to the Administration Manager & Administration Supervisor, through the Team Leader for data entry of immunisation & surveillance results and transfer of Child Health Records. You will also be required to travel to schools/clinics to provide clerical support at school immunisation sessions.
Attention to detail, accuracy with data input/filing, proficient keyboard skills and a good telephone manner are essential. Training and local Standard Operating Procedures on ‘Systems’ will be provided.
The role involves dealing with a large amount of incoming/outgoing mail and the movement and destruction of records, over 2 sites, which entails physical moving, lifting & handling of records and mailbags. Ability to carry out these tasks is necessary for this post.
To provide high quality support in the daily running of the department as an individual and
team player.
To undertake a range of clerical and administrative duties required to maintain the smooth
running of the department and enable the team to achieve their objectives and meet
required deadlines.
