This post is fixed term for 3 years
The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic research nurse, with knowledge in managing patients with Gastroenterology Disease.   The post holder will principally be responsible for the Mitochondrial DAMPs as mechanistic biomarkers of mucosal inflammation in Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis (MUSIC) study.  There may be an opportunity to expand into multi-centre studies running within the department.  This will necessitate extensive external networking with sponsors, collaborative study sites, pharmaceutical companies, Clinical Research Organisations, etc.
The post is predominately based in the Western General but there may be visits to the Royal Infirmary or St John’s Site as the studies increase.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
