The post holder will contribute to the comprehensive multidisciplinary team in providing care and support to service users and their families within the local community.
The post holder will maintain a case load and contribute to clinics and group work and foster a multidisciplinary approach to clinical and managerial problems in a community setting. Under the supervision of Band 6 CPNs, the post holder will liaise with hospitals and primary care team’s social work and voluntary agencies, and assist in promoting and developing comprehensive nursing interventions for a range of mental health problems. The post holder may also have the opportunity of rotation into Primary Community Mental Health Team.
The post holder will have responsibility for teaching and supervision of learners and unqualified staff, good communication and organisational skills are essential along with knowledge of relevant legislation and current practice.
Experience in the acute mental health setting is desirable.
Current driving license is desirable
The shift pattern for the post is usually Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
