Applications are invited for the above position in one of Scotland’s major teaching hospitals.
The successful candidate would join a dynamic team of 4 consultant physicians within the Infection Unit. The unit aims to deliver high quality care for patients with infection within Tayside, with responsibility for inpatient care of patients with all forms of community, healthcare and travel-associated infection in addition to contributing to outpatient management of patients with tuberculosis, HIV and viral hepatitis. The Infection unit also has responsibility for patients managed via our outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OHPAT) service. Depending on the successful applicant, additional work could be undertaken within general / acute medicine or medical microbiology and the successful applicant would contribute to weekend / out of hours working.
Tayside encompasses Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross, which has a diverse range of cities, towns and countryside and is an attractive place to live with all other major cities in Scotland within easy reach.
Candidates should possess MRCP and be on the GMC Specialist Register in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine or Medical Microbiology, or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the time of interview for the post.
