The Diabetic Eye Screening Service is looking to recruit 2 part time Retinal Screening Photographers. Both posts are for 20.75 hours per week, working on a two week rotational basis covering the following shifts;
Week 1
4 Week Days, 4.30pm to 8.00pm
Saturday 9am – 2pm
Week 2
3 Week Days 8.30am to 4.30pm
Both posts are for a fixed term of 23 months.
Although previous experience of fundus capture and OCT imaging is not
necessary, you should have excellent communication skills and have an ability to work
independently. You must be of a caring manner and be able to work well with patients,
carers and other NHS colleagues. The post holder should also possess good IT skills and an
ability to troubleshoot basic IT problems as they occur. A full, current driving license is necessary for this post.
Within this role, training will be given to allow the post holder to carry out fundus photography and OCT Imaging. You will be required to drive an NHS Tayside vehicle for travel to remote sites for clinics where necessary, transporting various clinic equipment, setting up/packing up and seeing patients.
It is mandatory that the post holder successfully completes the National Diabetic Retinopathy
Screening Qualification within the first two years of employment.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support
Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
